Mini moon

Just buzzing in with a quick little post this morning and an equally quick and little project.

This is a little twinchie made using a small artist canvas. I snapped a bunch of these on Ebay with the idea of making some little hanging decorations for Christmas. However, this one was close to hand when I happened to have some leftover paint on my craft mat. I just smoothed over the surplus paints, which were of the Dylusions variety, using my finger. Then I popped a stencil over the top and rubbed through it with a baby wipe.

Once dry, I stamped the moon using black Archival ink. This is a new stamp from a newly discovered store across the pond called Rubber Moon. They do the most adorable stamps but, before you click on the link, I should warn you that it is a highly addictive site – I am already on my second order! The good news is, for those of us who live far, far away, you can have the stamps either mounted on wood or not. Choosing the latter option makes them cheaper which means you can order more before you hit the postage trigger!

I’ve added some extra detail, using a fine black pen, and some highlights with a white pen. The actual moon face is paper pieced and coloured with Polychromos.  I absolutely love this stamp and they do an even smaller version which I’m very tempted to pop in my basket. Watch this space!

Thanks for buzzing by.
