Another event done and dusted. Another pair of feet hurting like mad!! The worst thing was that I woke up really early and couldn’t sleep, so I did what any normal person would and did an online grocery shop, for work, at 4.30am. Mad I know, but at least it’s one less thing to worry about.
Today I am sharing more journal pages. I don’t think I mentioned last time that I am taking part in an international round robin journal swap. We have all created a journal with a theme and then send it on for the next person to add to until, eventually, you get your own journal back. This is my page on the theme “interconnected.”
The creator of the journal has asked us all to pick up the line from the page before and continue it on its journey. Very clever idea. I am going to share this over at Crafty Ann’s Challenge Blog where the theme is Love Actually.
The background is, of course, Dylusion sprays with a bit of Perfect Pearl thown in for good measure. I did some ghosting using spiral and star masks and also used the masks to apply ink. I added some stamping in the corners and along the edge of the pages.
You can probably spot the white and gold highlights that applied on top of the ink.
The hearts were cut freehand from book pages which I had also coloured with Dylusions, again using the spiral mask to add texture. I used a black promarker and gold and white pens to add more detail around the edge.
The words come from a song and in my head I can hear Phil Collins, but I’m not sure I’ve got that righ – if you recognise the line please do let me know. Although I’m unbelievably tired, and still have quite a while until I reach home, I’m still a little giddy after yesterday’s encounter with Dyan Reaveley. What a shame I didn’t have the next journal about my person!
