Love is in the air

Well my week is just not going as planned. Aside from my grand tour on Tuesday I thought it would be relatively quiet and event free. Not so! Consequently, all my crafty plans have gone out of the window! Never fear though, I do have a little something to share with you today:

Yep, this is another left over scrap project. The background was cut from one of my “working” sheets of cheap paper that I keep stacked up and rest my craft projects on whilst I work on them. The theory is to prevent mess but, being me, I can usually mange to get a great deal of ink over everything.

There were already bits of random stamping on the paper and I’ve simply added a little more.  The coil stamp is by Stampotique. The hearts were cut from the same paper. I just ran a red Promarker over the top of what was already there, cut the hearts out freehand and then added some doodles and shading using a white gel pen and some watercolour pencils.

The words were printed out on the computer.

Hope you have a good day and here’s looking forward to the weekend 🙂

Thanks for buzzing by.

    • Thank you. It’s now hard not to be conscious when I am working on a bit of scrap. I don’t want to start “forcing” the leftovers!!

  1. Love this, the touches of white really add drama, I need to learn how to do that. Have a great weekend. ~Diane

  2. I like the clever ideas you come up with for what my friends and I call “trash paper.” I’ve saved some of mine, too, but as is the case with much of my stuff, I have yet to use it. Very typical for me 🙁 I really must do better. Some trash paper I have is so cool that I’ve actually made copies of it because I couldn’t bear to part with it. I do love paper!
The coolest part of this card for me is your shading–you’ve got a superb eye for this! When I grow up artistically, I want to be just like you 🙂

    • Trash paper sums it up really well and that’s what I shall call it from now on. I’ve photocopied some too (sadly, not some of the ones I wished I had!) nut now I’m thinking that not only am I hoarding designer papers but I’m also hoarding the rubbish. I will disappear under my paper stash anytime soon!!! 🙂

  3. You cut those heart free hand? I am sooooo jealous, why can’t I do things like that.

Adorable projects, gorgeous colours. It is so heard to believe this was created out of your mess.

    Keep doing what you do!
