January with the Galz

After what seems a very long time it is once again my turn to be in the spotlight over on the Gecko Galz blog. There’s a new DT for 2016 and am very happy to be part of it. My spotlight day for this year will be the 26th of each month so pop a reminder in your calendar to buzz on over. Some of my samples will have been blogged earlier in the month but I always try to have a couple of new things to share plus a freebie stamp for you to grab for your collection.

We always kick off the month with our Customer Challenge when there is a chance for you to win some goodies from the Galz. This month the theme is All That Glitters and there is still time for you to link up your project. Here’s my DT piece, click on the photo to find out how it was created.

The glitteriness continues with this romantic tag:

Don’t you just love sparkle? Here’s an any occasion card that I created:

I can’t resist a butterfly and there is a fabulous one in this month’s Holiday Icons Kit which is just bursting with fabulous images that are perfect for all the spring celebrations. I’ve chosen to use it in a vintage tag:

I used some paper from the Words and Music paper pack for the base and an image from the Golden Splendor collage set. Some sumptuous golden yellow ribbon, paper roses and gems complete the look.

Now I promised you a free digi stamp. This one is perfect for all of you crafters out there. Here’s a card I created using it:

I printed the image out onto watercolour cardstock and then coloured it with watercolour pencils and blended with a water brush. I added crystal clear glitter over the bird and roses. The edges of the card have been coloured with a little Worn Lipstick distress ink.

The ribbon was also coloured with Worn Lipstick, spritzed with water to give the ombre look. Right click on the image below and add it to your collection.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. You are such a busy little bee, all of these gorgeous projects. I think I spot two new ones, the fabulous vintage tag, lovely old fashioned lady and that wonderful ribbon. And the great give away image – what a great image for a crafter. I think you have inspired me to have a go at that image, can’t decide whether to use pencils or Promarkers,

    Thank you.

    Dionne xx
