I get a little sentimental

Good Morning! Another week and a new challenge is kicking off over at Crafty Boots. The theme for the next fortnight is to use a sentiment. When I make cards, unless I am making them with a specific event or occasion in mind, I generally leave them plain so I can utilise them for any occasion. Sometimes I will add a sentiment later but, more often than not, I grab a card from my stash in a last minute panic and send it as it is; choosing instead to add appropriate words on the inside! So, for one of my DT pieces for this challenge I have gone all out on the sentiment and used it as the focus of my card:

I originally made this as a Valentine card for Mr Beez but decided at the very last minute to save it for our wedding anniversary win June. Let’s hope he doesn’t buzz by here and get a sneak preview!

The lovely chalkboard sentiment is from the Gecko Galz Chalkboard Sentiments set and the paper is from the Coven paper pack.

The heart, stamped onto red card, is from Rubber Moon.

I’ve added in mats and layers of red, white and black cardstock and a smidge of gold glitter, because I could!

Make sure you buzz on over to Crafty Boots and see what the other DT members have been up to and we look forward to seeing your inspirational projects.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Stunning!

I love this red, white and black design, it is so distinctive, and the little splash of glitter is very eye catching. Lovely sentiment , perfect for an anniversary card.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
