First, a heart felt (do you see what I did?!) apology if you subscribe to my blog. I seem to be having some issues with email notifications. I am trying to sort it out but its proving very frustrating. I may have to uninstall and start again which is always a delight!!! Anyway, if you do subscribe I thank you for doing so, it means a great deal, and thank you for your patience whilst I sort it out. I do post every day (unless my blog crashes), usually in the evening except on Mondays when I normally post around noon (GMT/BST).
Secondly, I apologise for being very weak willed today. I tried my hardest I really did but the need to make a felt out of heart, but heart ruled my head (giving me the opportunity for a really cheesy title for my post). I will be sharing this over at City Crafter for their felt challenge and also over at Crafty Ann’s where the challenge is “love actually.” (Probably one of my favourite films).
I started by cutting out a red heart, freehand, from my stash of felt. I’ve mounted it onto a little mat made from some sheet music from The Graphics Fairy , tucked a piece of ivory jute ribbon behind, then layred up onto red card. I added a little ivory crochet lace at the bottom.
I used some cherry baker’s twine down the side and popped a little ivory button, threaded with a piece ofjute, on the centre of the heart. I stamped out the sentiment onto cream card, layered on red, using Vintage Photo distress ink.
I’m so glad that on this occasion I let my heart rule my head!
I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. For me I’ve got a tough two weeks looming so I’m going to squeeze every drop out of Sunday evening including making inroads into my large heart shaped box of chocs that Mr Beez very kindly bought me for Valentine’s Day.
