February ’16 with the Galz

Today sees my February spotlight over at the Gecko Galz so I’m here to share the details of how I created many of my Design Team samples. As many of these were Valentine’s themed, the majority have been blogged before. Clicking on the photographs will take you to the original post. However, as usual I have kept a little something back especially for today and also have a free digital stamp to share too. So sit back and enjoy the romance of it all 🙂

I also made this set of vintage tags

I created a tag shape from some kraft card and then added the heart image from the Holiday Icons Kit. The sentiments come from different Gecko Galz digital stamp kits and the photo’s are from the Perfect Portraits collage set. Once the images were all applied I added a light wash of gesso over the top and rubbing some of the paint off with a baby wipe. I added in a little stamping and then used washi tape, a scrap of lace and a shabby rose to decorate.

Finally, I have a free digital stamp for you to grab for your collection. Right-click the image to save to your computer. Underneath is a quick card that I made using the image. Don’t forget to buzz by the other designers’ blogs and pick up their freebie images too. You can find all the links over on the Gecko Galz Blog.

Wouldn’t this be great as an engagement or wedding card? I’ve used some paper from the Coven paper pack and added some fabulous ribbon from my stash.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Your Valentine projects are stunning Mrs Beez. I think my absolute favourite has to be your love potion, such beautiful colours and fantastic design.

Your Silent Movie starlet tags are gorgeous, the little ladies are all so moody and I love their pouts! I love the wash effect you have created on these tags.

    Have a great weekend.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
