By the time you read this I will hopefully just be pulling out of St Pancras and wending my weary way home after my flying visit to London. No time for shopping and fun, today it was all about work 🙁
Today I am sharing an anniversary card that I have made for my brother and his wife who will be celebrating their twelfth wedding anniversary on Sunday.
I am sharing my card over at Papercraft Star who have this picture for inspiration this week.
I’ve used my favourite music image from The Graphics Fairy and cut it into a heart and then layered it onto some fabulous designer papers from K & Company. They are both from the Tim Coffey Foilage collection. The top one picks out the flowers in the photo.
I’ve stamped some flowers, using my trusty Sheena Douglass stamps, onto Japanese rice paper and coloured them using a yellow Promarker and Shaded Lilac and Broken China Distress inks. I use rice paper because it crunches up nicely when you add the glue and push the centre in.
The butterfly, in honour of Amy and Friends, is a Hero Arts stamp coloured with the same distress inks and glittered. I stamped the image directly on to the card and then stamped and cut out a second image to layer over the top and add dimension.
I coloured some white seam binding with more distress inks, crunched it up tightly and dried with a heat gun so that it crinkled up.The colour is stunning There is a strip of ribbon down the length of the card, a double bow and then some extra ribbon tails.
I would to thank the lovely Design Team members at Papercraft Star for recently giving my entries for two of their challenges a “Super Nova Award.” It was very unexpected and I am thrilled to bits, “thank you so much”.
