All my love

Very disappointing snow today and even more disappointing was the football result. Only one thing for it – a cup of tea and crack open the pack of IKEA chocolate biscuits 🙂

I have found a new blog challenge to play along with over at Papercraft Star Their current challenge has the theme of “love”. Do hop over and take a look, you’ll find some great inspiration and also the familiar face of Ros Crawford aka Mikey’s Mom who is one of the design team. Also, they let you know what the theme of the next challenge will be.

I used some kraft paper for the first layer, then a piece of red spotted paper and topped it off with a heart shaped doilly. Everything was edged with Vintage Photo distress ink. Why is it that Vintage Photo, my most frequently used ink, is always at the bottom of my ink stash?

I made a little centre piece by cutting a heart out of some red card and trimming it with red mini pom pom trim.

You’ll see this card is embellished with all my current favourites. A double bow arrangement, little buttons, cherry baker’s twine and paper flowers. I topped it all off with a frosting of chunky clear glitter.

I love crafting on a Sunday, but I have a bad habit of putting off the ironing which I should really do first, especially if I’ve been away during the week and it’s built up. No why wasn’t I born to be one of those people who loves ironing?

  1. I have just been looking at recipes for macaroons and for a moment I thought I was looking at something edible when I logged onto your blog, your heart card really does look good enough to eat.

Fabulous card and great frosting, not to mention your gorgeous double bow.
