Fairy Fantasy

There’s a new cross promotion over at the Gecko Galz where this month they have teamed up with Itkupilli who have some fabulous digital images and papers. I’ve used some, together with some of the Gecko Galz new releases to create this mixed media canvas:

I used one of Itkupilli’s papers from the Primavira collection as the background and then created a digital collage. The daffodil, butterfly and bird image are from Itkupilli’s Primavira Icons whilst the little girl and the Paris postage stamp are from the Gecko Galz La Vie en Rose individual collage sheet. This is a fabulous sheet, full of pink images including the frame and pig that I used in my flying pig notecards. I printed out the collage and then applied it to a small canvas.

I used pink seam binding around the outside edge of the canvas and then created a large bow for the top.

I’ve framed the collage image with bits and bobs from my lace trims box – I usually collect up all the scraps after I have created a project.

Pink pearls, buttons, a sprinkle of glitter and some paper flowers are the finishing touches.

I cut these flowers from some heavy crochet lace trim that I have and never know what to do with!

This was such fun to do, the hardest part was choosing the images and paper.

You can check out what the other DT members did with these products by buzzing over the Gecko Galz blog and if you vote for your favourite you get a free mini stamp set and the chance to win a prize 🙂 Don’t forget that there also some new fabulous free products that you can collect from the Gecko Galz shop. Don’t miss out!

Thanks for buzzing by.
