Girl with a pearl earring

I have a little Christmas ornament to share with you this morning. I’m also sharing this over on the Crafty Boots Challenges Blog for the current Christmas themed challenge.

As soon as I saw this fabulous image from the Gecko Galz Very Vintage Christmas collage sheet I knew it would make a fabulous ornament. I’ve mounted it on to chipboard and then painted the back with white paint. I’ve added glittery highlights using both gold and some crystal clear.

The greenery is some Tim Holtz twine and I’ve attached it to the back using a glue gun, tucking in some tiny pink berries for good measure and topping it off with a tiny pink bow.

The dangling pearl is an old earring!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Now, ain’t she sweet. You know me, I love all the glitter and the drop pearl is a great finishing touch. (The first thing I did when I opened this post was the check her ears, I was wondering where the pearl earring came into it and you kept me waiting to find out!)

The foliage looks almost real and the little pink beads look fab.
