12 Days of Christmas Agathas – The first day…

Happy Boxing Day! I hope you had a lovely day yesterday and that today presents the opportunity for more festive fun. Those of you that buzz by here regularly will know that it has become a tradition of mine to have a special little project to celebrate each of the twelve days of Christmas. It began with my Twelve Days of Christmas ATCs, followed by the 12 Bees of Christmas and last year, 12 Houses of Christmas. This year, I have enlisted one of my favourite little ladies  – Agatha, by Magda Polakow for Stampotique, to help bring a little twist to this classic song in the form of 12 postcards that I will share between now and January 6th. I hope you’ll buzz by and join in with us:

For speed, I used q delicious backgrounds created by Kate Crane – sadly, these are no longer available on Etsy but check out her shop and blog for ideas and inspiration. The branchy stamp is one of my favourites from Paper Artsy and the little pears are, I think, from a set by Creative Expressions. I used Agatha Moon for this, masking of the moon itself and used paper piecing over the original stamping.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Stunning, Agatha up a pear tree is inspirational – and how much do I love your pear tree. Fabulous background and your ‘partridge’ is hilarious!

Each year I say I am going to follow your example but what with making my Christmas cards and wrapping presents I run out of time every year. Can’t wait for tomorrow.
