12 Days of Christmas Agathas – Day 8

For today’s postcard, Day 8  my series of postcards – the 12 Days of Christmas Agathas, I’ve put a little twist on the maids-a-milking.

Once again I’ve used one of Kate Crane’s backgrounds and then added a giant milkshake, a colouring page image. I used the tissue transfer technique to create the two towers of little birds and paper pieced the bodies having first coloured them in pastel milkshake shades! I decided that Agatha the Cook should make another appearance as she would be the most likely candidate to whip up a milkshake that size!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Now that is thinking outside the box Mrs Beez, another fabulous postcard.

I have not had a milkshake for years but I really fancy one right now. Many years ago a friend and I always ended our annual shopping trip to London with a milkshake from the Harrods Milk Bar. I wonder if it is still there!

    • I think I liked Ray’s comment too 🙂 I haven’t had a milkshake in ages either but think I might seek one out 🙂 xx

  2. Now I can’t decide which of these I love most, guess don’t really have to tho do I? They’re all fantabulous girl. Love your imagination and creativity. The Agatha’s are truly so darned adorable. And those birds too. Where do you find the time to do all this?
So did you have good New Years? Truly hope so. Ours was spent at home snoozing, watching tv., eating naughty things. Was really nice tho. We have our furry Kidz for company besides each other.
I have been hit with stomach flu in second week after surgery and now have first cold in few years along with nasty sore throat. I’m not in demand anywhere so just take it as I can and try to get thru. Hubs has been quite lovely to me. maybe he’s mellowing out in his old age, lol. When I’m sick best thing for me is to sleep, so I do as much as possible. Having a cold is nasty interference in my progress but will try to ignore it and sleep some more, lol. As matter of fact am about to brush teeth, get into jammies to hit the bed.
You never told me how your trip to NYC was. Did you send me an email have missed?
Well wishing you and your hubs a very Happy New Year. May it be better than any other.

    • Sorry to hear you are under the weather. Sounds like our New Years were pretty similar and have continued in pretty much the same way. 🙂

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
