12 Days of Christmas Agathas – Day 4

Todays postcard in the 12 Days of Christmas Agathas features Agatha Moon. Here she is sitting all alone in the night sky whilst down on the ground, the calling birds try to get her attention!

The background for this post card was created by sponging on distress inks – Stormy Sky, Faded Denim, Chipped Sapphire and a touch of Wilted Violet. I used a torn piece of paper to mask off the sky and then added Smoked Hickory to make the strip of ground. I’d intended to make the birds all black so they were just night time shadows but it didn’t look quite right so I went to the other extreme and made them white, as if caught in the glow from the moon! Once again I used the tissue transfer technique to reverse the image. The speech bubble and text are both stamps from the same set I used yesterday.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Doggone it looks like have missed few posts again. Can’t seem to get myself caught up. Please forgive. Will have to go back to see your wonderful Agatha posts, love those.
Had rough phy. therapy session today. But have to keep it up so this blasted old shoulder and arm will work as they should once again. Using arm and hand more for little stuff as I can.
Do you and your hubs do anything special for New Years? Since we live out farther we don’t usually do much if anything. Maybe get something to eat and that’s bout it for night. Neither one of us is supposed to drink at all due to meds, (bummer).
How is your hubs enjoying his retirement?
Have cheater cookies in oven. It’s big log of dough to bake at will. Bought it before my surgery and have been wanting to make the cookies. Decided tonight was good a time as any
..Hope you get some time off for holidays. Is still pretty cold here with snow on ground but no more snow they keep predicting. How about there?
Been wanting to go to thrift stores but have too much “stuff” as it is with no place to put it. Did get 3 books last week to read, have already read 2 of them. Good old thrift store for my books.
Enjoy rest of week. Happy New Year.

    • Happy New Year. Just a quiet one here, but we did get to have a glass of fizz! I hope your recovery is going well and wish I was there to share a cookie 🙂 x

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
