With gratitude

I’ve been lucky enough to win a guest designer spot over at City Crafter Challenge Blog. The theme of the new challenge is GIVE THANKS and to use the word thanks, thankful or grateful. Here’s the card I created:

I chose this gorgeous image from The Graphics Fairy to make a Thanksgiving card.

There is also a beautiful music image, also from The Graphics Fairy, which is entitled “Thanksgiving and Praise.”

I’ve used lots of layers in autumnal colours, the designer papers are from Bo Bunny, and inked all the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink.

In one corner is an arrangement of flowers, punched branches, berries and a twist of muslin.

A stamped sentiment and a couple of candy corn coloured buttons complete the look.

Be sure to buzz over to City Crafter and take a look at the inspirational projects the Design Team have created.

There’s a bit of a back story to this card which, if you’ve been looking closely, you may have spotted a clue. Let me know if you do!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Oh what a wonderful card, it really invokes that feel of an harvest festival and brings back memories of school assemblies (not that we got a lot of giant pumpkins in Essex!).

    • Ha ha! Funnily enough when I lived in Norfolk we received tons of harvest parcels from surrounding parishes. I realised just how far away some of them were when we travelled up last week. Pumpkins were often included as were tinned butter beans and blancmange! Yum, yum! xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
