Another purple project

Craft packages ordered =0, craft packages received =0

Back on the road again and for once we got to unload the van in beautiful sunshine. Fortunately, we are working near enough for me not to have to stay away from home, which is a bonus. However, I’m not sure that my family would agree as it does mean I have to leave at daft o’clock in the morning.

I have found a new blog challenge site to link up with so this is my first project to share over at Pinspired Challenges. As I practically live In the world of Pinterest, this is a great find! This is the photo inspiration for this week’s challenge:

Here’s what I came up with:

All the stamps are by Sheena Douglass and I saw a similar card showcased on Create and Craft and tracked down the blog of the Design Team member, Eileen, that created it. I’ve given it a slightly different twist by limiting my colour palette to those in the inspiration photograph.

I first stamped the leaves and scrolls, which are all one stamp, onto white card before stamping the individual flowers. I used black Memento ink so that I could colour with Promarkers. I used several different tones of purple for the flowers before adding white highlights.

I used a ball tool to give the flowers some dimension before adding them to the card.

I also stamped some extra leafy branches to decoupage. Finally, I stamped a sentiment in black.

I know you’ve seen quite a lot of these stamps, not to mention quite a lot of purple, but they are a joy to use and you can create so many different looks with them.

Another early start tomorrow, but hopefully not such a long day as today. Hope you’re having a happy and productive week and thanks for buzzing by.
