Vintage Paris

I’m a bit behind with my posts this week, I still seem to have lots of Valentine projects to share with you and I haven’t even made a card for Mr Beez yet. Today I am sharing a card that I have made for the current challenge over at City Crafter Challenge Blog where the team are asking you to use this picture for your inspiration:

CCCB paris

I have created this card for a friend and former teaching colleague who has a birthday coming up. She is responsible for organising her school’s annual trip to Paris so I thought this would be appropriate.

It is simply an image from the Gecko Galz Beautiful March collage sheet mounted on to some black card. The little strip of washi tape is a nod to the fact that my friend sings in a choir. I stamped some stars, reflecting those in the inspiration photo’, and the sentiment and added a single organza rose to finish it all off.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Fabulous card Mrs Beez. I love the Eiffel Tower image, works so well with the music and stars.

I have been to lots of places but never been to Paris, it’s one of those places my OH refuses to go to.

  2. Your card is a fantastic take on the inspiration. I just love that you stamped the stars! Your colleague should feel very special! So glad you joined the City Crafter Challenge.

  3. I know i keep repeating myself when i write my comments but you keep cranking out one incredible creation after another. So wonderful is your talent, I feel quite privileged to be able to witness it upon each post. When I look to see which blogs have posted to my email I zero in on yours to be opened first. Have to get another dose of awesomeness girl.
I am behind with reading posts so most likely have missed some of yours, therefore if there’s no comment from me please forgive me. i still have times my shoulder hurts so much and have found I can only type for so long and have to get off here. Still working like crazy to get arm to straighten out in front of me but it’s rebelling. Hubs even fixed up a pulley in doorway of a room so I could keep stretching it out. Can do pretty much anything I need to do around here but that darned arm just won’t straighten out. My time for outpatient p/t is about over so will be stuck with a stuck arm. I feel that with time just doing normal things will work itself out, sure hope so.
The physical therapist told me if at end of pt I still can’t straighten out arm the surgeon will put me under again and work that arm til it straightens out. Frankly that sounds much better than the torture in pt of trying to get it to behave. Lets get it over with. lol.
Enuf about that, have wonderful Valentines Day (do you have that in England?) Happy week also.

    • Thank you and you are too kind. I never tire of reading your lovely comments. Sorry you’re still having trouble with your shoulder πŸ™ Hope you get to enjoy Valentine’s Day despite it πŸ™‚
