Vintage Blues

Sorry I have been so quiet this week. I know you are probably fed up of hearing me say how swamped I am at work but I have been completely swamped. I didn’t want you to think I’d disappeared altogether so thought I’d buzz by very quickly to share a recent project with you.

I made this as a postcard but will probably end up attaching it to the front of a card. I’ve used cream card for the base and then some paper from the Gecko Galz Parisian Dreams paper pack. I inked the paper with Antique Linen and Walnut Stain distress inks before topping with a cream, heart shaped doily.

The image is from the Pretty Victorians collage sheet. Cutting her out would have been far too much faff, so I opted for some random tearing instead. I thought it might look a little odd, but am very happy with how it looks.

I’ve added coordinating bows and some coordinating paper roses.

Hurray for the weekend which is now just around the corner, so a little time to relax. I’m off to the Great Northern Paper Extravaganza, a chance to stock up on some crafting goodies 🙂

Thanks for buzzing by.
