Tricks and hopefully treats!

Monday morning – again! But I have  four day week this time and a treat to look forward to on Friday so mustn’t grumble eh? I have two projects to share with you today and, yes, still going down the Halloween autumnal route. First up is a tag that was one of my Gecko Galz DT projects.

Isn’t that owl fantastic? If you buzzed by yesterday you might just recognise him. However, if you look carefully, he’s a little different. The base of the tag is an image from the Altered Halloween collage sheet and the owl and the witch are from Haunted Ephemera.

I’ve used black lace and orange pom-pom trim along the base and used lime eyelash yarn and black ribbon at the top. A couple of buttons and some Halloween baker’s twine complete the look.

My second project uses a fabulous digital image from the Be Thankful digital stamp set.

I’ve coloured it with distress inks and then added burlap ribbon, buttons, a few berries along with a tiny orange paper rose and a glittery star. I don’t know what happened with this photograph but it has made the card look a bit mis-shapen which, in reality, it isn’t!

I’m sharing both of these over at Crafty Boots Challenges as we reach the midway point of our Autumnal/Halloween challenge. I hope you will have time to join us.

I’m off to Bradford today to watch a cooking competition in a Children’s Centre, which should be fun. Bradford is also hoping that today it will once again be named as Curry Capital of Britain so perhaps it would be appropriate to pick up something tasty on my travels too!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. This Halloween tag has it all–in-your-face rockin’ green base (love that ouija board), awesome owl image, and great bow and fringe trim!! I LOVE the color and composition!!!! You’ve outdone yourself this time!!
    Enjoy your 4-day week 🙂

  2. There is something about Halloween which is so you, your Halloween projects seem to have so much energy and your imagination flies. Two more amazing designs, I love how you have teamed the traditional black and pumpkin with the zesty lime, it works so well.

Your pumpkin card is amazing, the digi stamp is great and all your embellishments look fabbie.

    Have fun in Bradford.

  3. Lovely tag and card too! Funny, I think I did the same orange tint to that image too, great minds must think alike, lol. Sorry I have fallen behind in visiting, just cant get caught up now. ~Diane

    • Thanks Diane – and how funny we used the same image (for once!) and did it the same way. I have been struggling to post and keep up too – never feel obliged to buzz over here when you have so much on 🙂

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
