The stressful things in life!

Having started the week by commenting how quickly the weekend whizzed by, I’m finishing it by commenting how slowly this week has gone! On the work front it feels like I have been pedalling very hard only to end up going backwards so I am more that ready for the weekend.

Today I am sharing a card that I have made for a friend and work colleague, like me, is drowning in an ocean of work. However, she has had the added stress of moving home at the same time.

She and her partner have moved from a city apartment into a townhouse in a leafy suburb. This house stamp from the Stampin’ Up! holiday home set is pretty close to the real thing. I stamped the houses directly on to card and then swooshed on green and blue inks with a brush.

I stamped and coloured and extra house and applied it over the original using glue gel.

The stamped hearts and sentiment are from the same set.

Moving house is usually on the list of “the most stressful things in life” along with planning a wedding, which is exactly what this lovely couple are doing ahead of their big day this time next year!!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Oh, I really do like this card! I love its simplicity and use of color, and I’m sure that your friend will love it, too.
I’m so sorry that work is so awful for you. Has anyone made the suggestion of having a 3-day work week while being paid for 5 days? I think it sounds like a great idea! I hope this coming week is the beginning of happier times at work. xox

    • Thank you. Love the idea of your work plan – I think I might suggest it and see if anyone realises what I am proposing!!!! 🙂

      • Just make your proposal during a 1 or 2 or, even better, a 3-drink (not tea, mind you) lunch meeting and pass around an already-prepared contract for the big shots to sign; It’s a no-brainer!

        • Love it! I mentioned it to one or two people yesterday and they didn’t realise what I was actually proposing. Hilarious!

  2. This is an adorable card, such sweet little houses and your swooshing with the duster brush is getting really good.

I hope you have a relaxing weekend.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
