As you know, I am very bad at getting on with making my Christmas cards. I have to tell you that I am just as bad at getting on with thank you cards. I am so behind this year I am ashamed. What’s worse is that I had already made a few thank you cards before Christmas and with all that time off that I had there is really no excuse.
I made this set as part of my Gecko Galz samples towards the end of last year. Leanne produced a black and white paper pack, Graphical,Β and I thought the designs were far too pretty to be covered up so, instead, I used them as the main feature of the card. They were so easy to make, I have no excuse for not having made a whole stack!
I’ve matted and layered the paper onto raspberry pink and black card and then popped on the sentiment.
I originally intended to add a tiny butterfly, but was happy with them just the way they were so left it at that!
Apologies to all those people who are due to receive one of these – now I have admitted my shame in public I will try and redeem myself at the earliest opportunity.
Thanks for buzzing by.
Oww, these papers are very pretty and they work well with the raspberry card.
Keep warm.

Thank you – snow has been falling since yesterday evening!
Very wild, wet and windy here. No sign of snow but very cold π
As you have seen we had quite a lot of snow!!!!!
Wow, that’s a nice paper, I thought first that you doodled them with a black pen, I was sure about it π
Oh if only I could doodle like that π
I am in complete agreement with you; I have found some papers that are too lovely to be covered and have done the same thing. The first time I did it, I was feeling a little guilty about making a card that was so easy, but reason won out after I told myself that beauty should be enjoyed, not covered up, and who says all cards have to be hard, anyway. These cards are wonderful, and whoever gets one will be very happy indeed.
I always think that simple cards are the hardest to do and yet it always feels a bit of a cheat to do them! Maybe it comes down to confidence?!
I think you have something there–I always think if I haven’t labored over a card, then it’s not “worthy” of the recipient. This is something that I’m working on.
Yep – the irony is that people who don’t craft always appreciate a handmade card however simple!
