Pinch and a punch it’s the first of the month! I’m pleased to report that my working summer ordeal is finally over and I survived…just! I think it will take me awhile to recover and get my sparkle back but it’s a joy this morning to know that things are slowly but surely returning to normal! I’m also excited that we have a new challenge over at Crafty Boots and the theme for the next fortnight is “sweet sixteen.” Here’s my DT piece:
I’ve used one of Julie Nutting’s doll stamps and stamped it onto some book page designer paper. After colouring her face, hair, arms and legs with Promarkers I have paper pieced the dress using some of my favourite paper from the Gecko Galz Wild Roses paper pack. Crystal clear glitter adds some sparkle to the bodice and I used some organza rose trim along the bottom of the skirt.
I couldn’t resist adding some silver glitter to her shoes.
To showcase the girl I’ve layered up some designer papers after distressing the edges. The ribbon is seam binding that I’ve coloured with Spun Sugar distress ink. I’ve added in extra pieces of ribbon to create additional tails and some scraps of lace to frame the image.
The finishing touch was to add the sentiment and a tiny pink heart brad from my stash.
We hope you’ll find time to come and join us over at Crafty Boots Challenges – you have a fortnight to link up your sweet sixteen projects.
Thanks for buzzing by.
