Sweet dream fairy and a whole lot more

Good Morning. It’s my turn to feature over on the Gecko Galz blog today where all my samples using this month’s projects are on display. If you are a regular here you will know that that means a picture heavy post for you. I’m going to start by sharing something new. Then you will find pictures of my other projects that I have previously featured here. You can click on the photograph to see the original post. Finally, I have another fabulous free digi-stamp courtesy of Leanne at The Gecko Galz. So, fetch yourself a cup of tea or coffee, grab a piece of cake or a biscuit to dunk and take a look at my August samples.

Firstly, my new project and this may look vaguely familiar.

This is another of those fabulous arched shaped, wooden ATC blanks from Calico Craft Parts. I’ve used some paper and an image from the Gecko Galz Curiosity Shop digital kit for the background and then painted the frame with some neutral colour paint and a bit of roughly applied gold acrylic.

The cute little frozen Charlotte fairy is another image from the digi kit and I mounted it on to sturdy card.

The grass across the bottom and the toadstool are also from Calico Craft Parts. Both have been painted with acrylic paint.

I added a little glass vial of mica flakes and some glittery gold stars to finish. The words were all printed from the computer and inked and scrunched to distress them.

Next up are all the projects that I have previously featured here. Click on the photograph if you’d like to know more.

Finally, here’s this month’s free digi stamp.

lovely lady

Right click to save to your picture library. Here’s a card that I made:

I added a text box over the original image, coloured the background and then added my chosen text.

Don’t forget you can collect a different free digital stamp from each of my fellow Gecko Galz teamies. Simply visit the blog and check out their spotlight posts and then click on the link.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. This post just goes to show how busy you are and this is in addition to all of the other demands on your time – what is it they say … if you want something done ask a busy woman.

The two new projects are fabulous, your imagination with the new ATC shapes is amazing, I look at the blanks and my mind goes blank but you create these works of art.

I love the ‘missing you’ card, the muted colours are gorgeous and the ribbon really jumps off the card.

    • Ha ha! Certainly that maxim feels like it’s true at the moment, I am beginning to wonder if it’s a conspiracy theory to wear me out and replace me!!!! Loving those ATCs – I think it helps when you know it’s not the only one you have so you are not going to waste it if it goes wrong, so my advice is buy a stack and get playing!!!! xx

  2. Each time I get to see all your wondrous creations I am so glad I found your incredible blog. You are so talented and so humble. Can only imagine what kind of creating you’ll do when you finally can stop working. I enjoy every post I receive from you Lisette.
Got call from daughter later this afternoon letting us know they got to San Rafael, Ca ok and are staying at hotel only 2 miles from University grand daughter will be attending. I was worried as northern CA is having terrible wildfires but she said they were never near any of them. She’s not one to watch news so wasn’t aware of them. She wanted to know how their dog is doing, he’s having great time with our dog. They play and wear each other out. He’s a little love, a beagle they were given by a neighbor last year. He likes his grand parents alot.
Have great week Lisette. Til next time

    • Thank you 🙂 It would be great to spend a day just playing craft and not having to think about doing anything else. Hope your granddaughter is settling in OK and you are not missing her too much. x

  3. I love those circus atc’s you made–so very cool and such fantastic colors! That dream fairy piece is totally, totally awesome!! Love the composition and your coloring of the wooden bits. I also love the jar of moonbeams and the stars; they are great embellishments. You put so much effort and thought into these projects; I don’t know how you find the time with your job. Applause to you!!!

    • Thank you Roberta. Crafting is a blessed relief as I totally forget about work once I get immersed. I have been making more an more Gecko Galz samples (we are only require to make two!) the busier my work has been. Now on Halloween 🙂 🙂 🙂 x
