Spring is Sprung

Back with my second post of the day as once again the new My Artistic Adventures Challenge begins at the same time as Crafty Boots‘. The new theme at MAA is “Spring is Sprung.” Although there are still some little heaps of snow left from a few weeks ago, and it remains very, very cold, Aslan has definitely been on the move and there is a sense that spring is just around the corner. Bird activity in the back garden is increasing which means that very soon the nest building will begin in earnest. I thought it would be appropriate to use Heather’s fabulous bird collage sheet to create my DT project for this challenge.

This fabulous sheet is fully loaded with domino sized images and a serving of word tiles on the side.

I used one of the tiles that features a sweet little Blue Tit, a bird that regularly visits our garden, and enlarged it so it was slightly bigger than domino size. I mounted it on to some coordinating cardstock and then added a border of white crochet lace.

I’ve added a little crystal clear glitter to the flowers.

In one corner I’ve added a little bow and a glittered forget-me-not.

At the base there is a scrap of ribbon with one of the word tiles and some tiny little flowers.

There’s a feast of inspiration from the My Artistic Adventures DT so buzz on over and check out their projects and be sure to link up your own spring creations too.

Thanks for buzzing by.
