Today Mr Beez and I will be wending our way home from Gatwick where we stayed overnight after flying back from Valencia late last night. So, the last of my scheduled posts is another beachy themed card using the cutest little seahorse image:

The image comes from one of this month’s Gecko Galz new ephemera sets – Here Fishy Fishy. I layered the image on to kraft card, leaving a reasonable border around the edge. I tore strips of gauze and glued them all around the edge of the image to create a frame.

Once dry, created some mats and layers using papers from the By The Shore paper collection and then topped them with the seahorse. I sprinkled on some champagne mica flakes before adding miniature sea shells, a pearl and a star shaped brad.

The finishing touch was to make a double knot in some twine and apply this to the base of the card. Thanks for buzzing by, I hope you’ve been behaving whilst I’ve been away and I look forward to catching up with you tomorrow.

  1. Welcome back, I hope you had a fabulous time.

Gorgeous card, lovely seahorse image and I adore the evocative image of flotsam and jetsam you have conjured. I can almost smell the sea.

    • He (I don’t know why I think it’s a he!) really is a cutie and we just saw some as cute as him whilst we were on holiday. It was lovely to return to your comments and I hope you have a happy summer too. xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
