Sail away

I was disappointed to have missed last week’s City Crafter Challenge Blog’s challenge last week, due to the loss of my blog. If you’d like to see the card I made you can check it out here. Once I was back on line I was determined not to miss this week’s challenge which has the theme “nautical.”

This card uses papers and image from the Crafter’s Companion Halcyon Days CD. This has some fabulous images that have been created from original embroideries.

The bunting is also on the CD.

I’ve added some red ribbon for contrast and made a little arrangement of shells and ribbon and topped it with a matching sweetheart blossom.

Phew! Made it just in the nick of time. Thanks for buzzing by.

    • Thank you – what amazes me is just how thin that bunting string is – how it all stays together I’ve no idea!

  1. Gorgeous, such pretty papers and lovely layering. Great image and I adore your bunting, it is so cute.

PS I would have thought you could enter ‘On the Beach’ into this weeks challenge as well.

    • Thank you. The embroideries on the CD are so cute (there are some lovely beach huts too!) I’d love to be able to make my own. I thought about using this card but wasn’t sure if it counted as nautical!!! 🙂

    • Thank you – I wasn’t entirely sure about the red but I think that’s because I tend to favour monochrome!!!

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
