Today I’m taking a little break from man inspired projects and am sharing a tag that I have made for this week’s Sunday Stamper’s challenge which has the theme of purple.Purple is good as I always like an excuse to bring out the Seedless Preserves! I started with a plain manila tag and coloured it with Shaded Lilac and good old Seedless Preserves distress ink, plus a bit of Victorian Velvet distress stain. I used a Dylusions stamp and more Seedless Preserves to stamp the background then used a water brush to colour in the leaves. I used Seedless Preserves, Chipped Sapphire and Picked Raspberry distress inks, mixing and matching to create various shades of purple. Once dry I added highlights with a white pen.
For some reason I decided to stamp the flowers in black Archival Ink, it’s only as I type this that I realise I should have use more Seedless Preserves. However, I think the reason I chose black was because I had planned to do a mixture of purple and white blossoms but in the end went with just white. I used a Promarker to colour the centre of the flowers purple and used the same to colour some seam binding for a bow. I also added a white seam binding bow.
The finishing touches were a scrap of lace, a purple button, little white butterflies and some chit-chat stickers.
Hope you’re having a good week and thanks for buzzing by.
