All pear and square!

Good Morning and Happy Monday! A very happy Monday as I whizz off on my long awaited holiday 🙂 I have been counting down the days to help get me through my summer work and now departure day has finally arrived and hopefully, by the time you read this, myself and Mr Beez will have landed safely in Italy ready for some fun in the sun.

Whilst I’m gone there is some fun going on over at Crafty Boots as we start a new challenge. The theme for the next fortnight is “All Squared Up,” – it’s easy – use squares in your project or simply make a square shaped project! I’ve noticed that just recently I’ve been favouring square shaped cards. Here’s my project for today:

This lovely stamp is from a Stampin’ Up! set called Faith in Nature. Having missed out on buying it originally, I was super pleased to be able to snap it up, pre-loved, on Ebay.

I used some green archival ink to stamp on to watercolour card and then added colour using distress inks.

To decorated, I used coordinating flowers and ribbon from my stash.

I hope you are able to join in our Crafty Boots challenge and I will look forward to catching up with all your projects when I return.

In the meantime, if you were with me when I visited Seville last year, you will remember I got very giddy about the orange trees. In Italy, it’s all about lemons – I can’t wait!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Fabulous card Mrs Beez, I LOVE this pear stamp, I do not recall seeing it before so I guess I also missed it the first time around – your treatment of it is just perfect and your card is really gorgeous.

Have a great time in Italy and watch out for those lemons, they are amazing …. why don’t we get lemons like that here?

    • Thank you – I only discovered the set via Pinterest so was thrilled to track it down. I guess we just don’t get enough sunshine..and possibly the wrong soil. Maybe we need a volcano 🙂 🙂 🙂

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
