Good morning! It’s that time again when I get to showcase my Design Team samples using the November releases from the Gecko Galz. There are lots of fabulous products this month including lots of yummy vintage Christmas themes. I already shared my Customer Challenge project – take another look here and click on the photo if you’d like to find out how I made it.
Continuing the white theme and again using a digital stamp from the Christmas Sayings stamp set.
I’ve just added bits and bobs of lace, ribbon and tinsel from my scrap stash.
This mpnth’s kit is called Blue Christmas and it is jam packed with lots of fabulous images. I love this jolly Santa snowflake.
I added crystal clear glitter to his beard and hat and then popped an epoxy dome over the top.
I’m not sure where those cute little distressed jingle bells come from but they were perfect to finish off my jolly card.
I’ve used another image from the Blue Christmas Kit to make a little decoration. This was super quick to make. After printing the image, I stuck it to some chipboard and then applied Vintage Photo and Walnut Stain distress inks. I used a gold leaf pen around the edge and then created a little hanger from some gold tinsel trim.
I picked out some of the lettering using a glue pen and gold glitter.
Finally, another card using a different digital image from Blue Christmas.
First, I sized the image so that each bauble was the same size as my circle punch and then printed it out twice. I punched out each of the baubles and edged them with gold glitter before applying them over the original. I also used a glue pen to help me add more gold glitter to the strings and bows.
Now, I also have a little confession to make. As you know, each month Leanne provides each DT member with a digi stamp to give away on their blog. I forgot that last month there wasn’t one as we had a free collage sheet to give away as part of the Blog Hop and ended up sharing the one that was meant for this month. Oops! So, here it is again, together with the sample that I made using it and the collage sheet that I gave away during the hop!
As part of the Blog Hop we were challenged to make a Christmas project using one of the images on our sheets. I was thrilled to learn that my little ornament was the winner 🙂
Don’t forget that there is a free stamp to collect from every Gecko Galz DT member, buzz over to the blog and find the links to grab yours! Enjoy and thanks for buzzing by.
