No stamps allowed

“No Stamps Allowed” is the theme for the next fortnight over at Crafty Boots Challenges. That’s stamps of all kinds, including digital. Now I have known about this challenge for ages so why is it that all I could think about was using stamps. The card I shared on Saturday was supposed to be for this challenge and then – oops! – I added stamps. Fortunately, I still had quite a few unused collage images from the Gecko GalzΒ just waiting to be used up, so that’s exactly what I did.

The Eiffel Tower image is the same one that I used on Saturday’s card except that I printed it out in black and white instead of colour. The bird/Paris image is also from the Gecko Galz but I can’t remember exactly which set it comes from – apologies. I edged both images with black and then a little soft pink.

Finishing this card was the hardest part for me. I played around with ribbons and buttons but they were too harsh. As you can see, in the end I opted for soft lace and organza rose trim.

I am also sharing this over at City Crafter Challenge Blog for their inspiration photo’ theme.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Another very romantic card with the Eiffel Tower and your lovely lace, The soft pink edging looks really lovely and pulls it all together.

I know exactly what you mean about only being able to think of stamps when it came to this challenge. I guess it is like being on a diet and only being able to think of cakes and biscuits.

    • I know!!!! Every idea just came back to stamps – gone are the days when I thought of them as being the more difficult option πŸ™‚

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
