Moon gazing hare

Today I have a card that uses another of those fabulous  images from The Gecko Galz Charming Silhouettes collection.

What I particularly love about this one is all the stars that are nestled amongst the leaves of the tree. I’ve printed the image and then coloured the background using distress inks.

I’ve added highlights using a white pen and then layered the image onto some silver glitter card.

I’ve added some seam binding that has been coloured with the same distress inks.

A little cluster of punched stars and the stamped sentiment are the finishing touches.

Don’t forget, if you’re using sparkle in your projects you still have time to share them with us over at Crafty Boots Challenges.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. This is just gorgeous. Love the black and white theme. Black is my favorite color and recently just got addicted to purple. Fantastic job. Hope your having a fantastic week.

  2. Oh, my goodness–this is totally GORGEOUS!! You are indeed the Queen of Glitter and White Dots!! I absolutely love the dots; they really take that image to the next level. You must be even more patient than I thought 🙂 And that group of stars is an awesome embellishment, tying everything together but not detracting from the main image. Way to go, MB!
When I order my images from Gecko Galz, can I print them out and send them to you for dotting? We can make it an international collaboration!

    • Thanks Roberta and yes, and international collaboration would be fun. I could happily sit their white dotting for England 🙂

  3. What a beauty of a card this is! I adore the pretty glitter paper and the glitter stars. So classy how you placed the stars over the ribbon, gorgeous effect! ~Diane

    • Thanks Dionne. There has been a rumour that silver glimmer card is being discontinued!!! My SU demo status ends next week and I don’t know whether to get a supply beforehand. xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
