Monster Birthday

Just squeezing in a cheeky little post with a cheeky little card for this week’s challenge over at the Stampotique Designers’ Challenge Blog. The lovely Corrie has set the theme and says “”I really struggle with cards for men. So this week I would like to see what you make when you need a masculine card.” Here’s the card that I am sharing:

I love this little guy, Plushy, that is one of the new releases and is designed by Arwen. Here, I have combined him with another of her stamps, the Skull Balloons.

I created a mask for Plushy so that the balloons strings appeared to be behind him when I stamped them. Cutting another mask for the balloons, I swooshed on some ink and added some stamped splatters for the background. The images were coloured with Promarkers.

The torn strip of paper is from the Geco Galz Freak Show paper pack. The words were printed on my computer. This is going to make a great card for a friend of ours who has a birthday next weekend, particularly as I don’t have any male themed cards in my stash right now, so thanks Corrie for getting me moving on this one!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  2. What a fun card, I love your little monster! Thank you so much for joining in with us again at Stampotique and have a great week. Sue xx

  3. Owwm I almost missed this post!

I am loving Mr Plushy but I get the distinct feeling that you should not leave your fingers loitering in his vicinity. Fab background splattering by the way.

    Have a great Monday.

    Dionne xx
