Hurray! I have successfully managed to clear all the hurdles that faced me at the beginning of the week so can now start to look forward to the long weekend and enjoy my bonus day off tomorrow. 🙂
In the absence of any blog challenges to enter I was at a bit of a loss as to what to share with you today. Then I heard someone saying about small cards being fashionable and decided I would make a little set of thank you cards using my new macaroon stamp and matching die:
I decided that I would like to keep things quite simple, partly because I was, once again, short on time. The stamp and die set are by Avery Elle. There are lots of stamps in the set and I love the fact that some of the sentiments are in French. Having the matching die gives a professional finish to the cutting out process.
I made some 90cm x 90cm card blanks from some sturdy cardstock and then stamped the sentiment in gold, topped with gold embossing powder an heat embossed. The macaroons were done in the same way, using pastel pearlised card.
Once I had run the shapes through my Grand Calibur I mounted them on 3D foam before placing on the card. I punched out a trio of coordinating blossoms using my trusty Martha Stewart punch and arranged this near the wording.
I hope you’ll agree that these are simple but pretty? As luck would have it, I just happened to have a few macaroons sitting doing nothing in my fridge. I’m not sure how they got there, but they were delicious 🙂
