Is it me or did March just whizz by? Whilst February seemed to drag its heels, March seems to have been and gone in a flash. As we approach the month’s end it’s my turn to feature my DT projects over on the Gecko Galz blog. Now it’s well worth your while buzzing over and taking a look at all the fabulous projects my teamies have been creating and at the same time you can grab a whole bunch of free digital stamp images that Leanne is sharing.
You can pick up my free image at the end of this post and see what I created with it. I have to say that Leanne has chosen well for me this month! I hope you enjoy my March creations, you can find out all the details by clicking on the photo’ and the link will take you to the original post. There are also a couple of new projects and, as previously mentioned, the free digital stamp.
Shabby Chic Egg Crate
Easter Rabbits Cards
Vintage Easter Bunny Card
The Cutest Bunny with scraps card
Easter Egg Ornament
My Easter egg ornament was the quickest thing to make thanks to the beautiful vintage image from the Holiday Icons digital kit. I used Mod Podge to apply it over a wooden egg decoration then sanded down the edge before applying a little Walnut Stain distress ink followed by a coat of Mod Podge glossy to seal.
A coordinating bow picks out the colour of the flowers, which are highlighted with a smidge of glitter.
Finally, I made a little trinket box using the free digital stamp that you can grab for your collection. You can imagine how thrilled I was to receive this particular one!
I covered the box with some honeycomb paper that was another Gecko Galz freebie a few years ago. You can pick up some lovely free papers over on their Pinterest board. I removed the background from the digital image and layered it on to the paper before printing. I inked the covered box with Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo and Wild Honey distress inks.
I coloured the image with Polychromos then added some organza rose trim to the lid. Please help yourself to this beauty!
Thanks for buzzing by.
