Lame suit and a new guitar

It’s Week Two of our stars or stripes challenge over at Crafty Boots and I’m staying with stars.

I’m still playing with my inks too – this time it’s Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio smooched on to some white card before I popped a Dylusions stencil over the top, spritzed on some water and then blotted with kitchen towel.

The stars were stamped, using Stampotique’s Text Star, onto card, inked with distress inks and then stuck on to the card.

The sentiment is from Chocolate Baroque’s Happy Words set and the circle is from PaperArtsy. I’ve added a doodled border.

Be sure to buzz over to Crafty Boots not only to see the inspiration from the DT and our guest designers but also to link up you starry projects.

Oh, and in case you were wondering about the title of this post, I was running out of “star” titles so have taken a line from “Your a Star,” which was the theme song of the 1970s talent show “New Faces.”

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Another gorgeous card, great background and I love those word stars, they are brilliant. Something else for my wish list.

I did wonder about the post title … and now I have that song running around my head, well not the whole song because I do not know the line you used in the title.

    • Thank you 🙂 I can’t stop singing it either – it’s the second line from the chorus “You’re a star, you’re a star, lame suit and a new guitar and I know that you’ll go far, coz you’re a star.” Now sing…. 🙂 🙂 🙂 xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
