How was your weekend? We have been helping our eldest son to move into his new flat. Essentially that involved 5 hours in Ikea on Saturday and then yesterday unloading everything and helping unpack all his new purchases. There was much time fro assembling all that flat pack furniture and he has decided to move out gradually over the forthcoming week.

All of which means the weekend whizzed by and over at Crafty Boots Challenges we have reached the midway point of our Red, White and Blue Challenge. You can use just one of these colours, a combination of two or max out and go for all three, which is what I have done with my card.

I’ve used some paper from the Gecko Galz Parisian Dreams paper pack and simply added a few embellishments, so the pretty paper is the star of the show.

Two types of lace and some romantic red roses.

A die cut red heart and a computer generated sentiment et voila!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. It sounds like the move is going well, you OK?

Fabulous card. I have never been to Paris but on a lovely day like today it sounds like what the doctor ordered and your card sums up my impression of springtime in Paris….. queue Doris Day!

    Dionne xx

  2. OH to be able to see London, I’d so love to be able to. Seen so many movies made in Paris, London, other European cities. I’ll have to put getting to see those cities on my bucket list. In my dreams maybe but it’s fun to list and wish.
Your card is gorgeous, using that paper was genius, so pretty and express what it would be like in Paris in Spring (I would think anyway) . The heart with roses, laces makes it even more special, lovely embellishments. You never fail to inspire me.
Your son’s move sounds like quite an expedition. 5 hours in IKEA? From what I’ve heard and seen on their website, quite possible to spend that much time. I Have never been in an IKEA. They showed up in CA after we moved to MT. I’m sure I could spend hours in there.
Hope your son is all settled, you must have been exhausted after helping him all weekend, enjoy going to Marathon with your hubs.

    • Oh, I wish I could fly you to London and Paris, you would love them both. It is impossible to get in and out of IKEA quickly, they make you walk through a lot of it with no shortcuts. SO many temptations (none of which you actually need!!) and then you get a hot dog at the end 🙂 xx

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
