Today I am sharing a couple more Father’s Day cards that I made using images and papers from The Gecko Galz.
For the first card I’ve played with a new (for me) card design that makes a feature of the inside of the card. I used the “Time Flies” paper from the Dapper Dan paper collection on the inside and then , “Coffee Break” paper, from the same pack, on the front flap. The two match perfectly.
I chose one of the stylish images from the Sharp Dressed Man collage set, layered it on to “Board Room” paper then applied it to the front of the card using 3D foam, remembering of course only to apply the foam to half of the image. You can probably guess that I don’t always remember !
To continue the theme of the card I cut some clock images from the Time Flies collage set and used 3D foam to apply them to the front of the card. The finishing touch was to add some strands of chain which I think is keeping with the clocks and makes a nice change from ribbon.
The second card uses images from the “Start Your Engines” collage set and “In the Bank” paper which is once again from the Dapper Dan collection. This paper could be used either as suiting but I think it works well here as a road surface.
I’ve used little black faux pearls in between the chequered flags and some sliver self adhesive studs as the finishing touch.
The current challenge over at City Crafter is “All About Him” and I’ve dithered about which one to link up. If you want to find out, then you’ll need to buzz over and take a look. It will be well worth your while as the Design Team samples are fantastic.
Today Mr Beez is celebrating his birthday. If you’d like to see the card that I made for him then make sure you buzz back here tomorrow. To help him celebrate I had a huge piece of coffee cake on his behalf 😉
