A new week and a new challenge over at Crafty Boots. As the summer sporting season gets serious with the start of the football World Cup the theme for the next fortnight is “sports.” Here’s my Design Team sample:

This fabulous vintage cricket image is from the Gecko Galz collage collection Good Sport.

I’ve layered it up with some Stampin’ Up! designer papers, aqua cardstock and red cardstock. The edges have been inked with Walnut Stain. That fabulous ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I’ve added some metallic star brads across the top plus a birthday greeting.

Check out the sporting creations from the rest of the Crafty Boots Design Team and we’d love it if you could share yours with us over the next fortnight.

I am also sharing this over at Really Reasonable Ribbon for challenge #96 – masculine with ribbon or trim.

Is it really four years since we were playing our vuvuzelas? Now it’s time for the carnival to start – COME ON ENGLAND!!!!

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Definitely ‘Not Out’! Fabulous card, I love the vintage cricket image and your backing papers are just ideal. And a masculine ribbon, what a find – and the colours match perfectly.

    Have a great week.

    • Thank you. I love that neutral paper pack from Stampin’ Up! I’m just sorry they changed the patterns in the new series as I’m not so keen on those. That RRR wired burlap is gorgeous and I wish I could have the other colour options shipped over!!!! Enjoy your week and may be try some relaxing instead of being super organised with your chores, you are making me feel guilty!! xx

    • Thanks Diane – I’d planned to use more from that collage sheet but time ran out so I’m glad I was able to use it “after school”!

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
