I’m thrilled to have another opportunity toΒ be back a Guest Designer over at City Crafter Challenge Blog. This week, #209, the theme is Speech Bubbles.

Here’s my card:

This is a little stamped composition using stamps by Hero Arts and the speech bubble and Hello are by Chocolate Baroque.

I started by dusting the card with Salty Ocean and then stamped the grass using several different greens and overlapping layers to give it some depth.

Next I stamped all the individual elements. Quite nerve wracking as if you make one mistake the whole thing is ruined. Once the scene was finished, and normal breathing had resumed, I coloured it in using Promarkers.

I’ve used some designer paper and black card for the background and added some pretty daisies and punched leaves to finish it off.

Be sure to buzz over to City Crafter Challenge Blog and take a look at what the talented Design Team have been up to. I know they’d love to see your projects too and you can always be sure of a warm welcome when you link up what you have made.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. You make it look so easy, Mrs. Beez. You must have lots of rubber stamps for all the different cards you do. So many techniques. You have a grass stamp? You made grass look real. Love the font on the Hello, cute how letters are bigger than others, would be a cute font to learn to hand write. Really cute card. Happy week

    • Do you know I started my card making by buying a stamp and some embossing powder. Then, as I built up my collection of stamps, I got lazy and would do anything other than stamp! It was finding the Sunday Stampers challenge (www.pinkleart.blogspot.co.uk)that reignited my interest in stamping and now I can’t do it enough. I love buying stamps. The grass stamp is all part of the same set that had the ladybird, butterfly and flower in it. It’s by Hero Arts and is a clear stamp set which I managed to pick up at a bargain price πŸ™‚

  2. What a cute card, sure to make someone smile. Love the stamped images and the pretty bouquet too. Congrats on the GDT at City Crafters, such a fun group. ~Diane

    • Thanks Diane – I love CCCB – it was one of the first challenge sites I found and I’ve managed to enter most weeks.

  3. This card is so sweet–I love the little ladybug and the font of the “Hello.” I also like the slant of the image layer and the floral embellishment at the corner. It’s those finishing touches that really make your cards extra-special πŸ™‚

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
