Happy New Year to you all. I hope you had fun seeing in 2014. Have you made any resolutions? I have, rather rashly, made several and if I say them out loud here maybe I will keep them, or at least of some them! As usual I am pledging to lose weight – I usually find I am most successful with this just before Christmas and then of course pile on the pounds over the holiday period. However, at least last year I didn’t put on weight which, these days, I consider a major achievement. I am also planning on increasing my level of fitness but absolutely not in the gym! The major, major resolution is to not buy any new crafting stash, except for essentials. Now I am practically hyper-ventilating at the mere thought of this. You’ll notice that I haven’t defined “essentials,” so watch this space!
I hope you are enjoying my 12 Bees of Christmas and thank you to those of you who have left a comment, I really do appreciate each and every one. I thought I’d pop back and share a New Year card with you:
This uses paper and an image from The Gecko Galz and I’ve layered them up with coordinating cardstock in two shades of blue together with some contrasting cardstock in red.
I’ve added a little gold glitter to the 1 on the vintage image.
I’ve used some mini pom-pom trims across the bottom.
A big double bow, from white seam binding, with a tiny button in the centre finishes it off.
I hope you have a very enjoyable day today and I wish you and yours a happy and healthy 2014. And out of interest – is seam binding an “essential” do you think?! 😉
Thanks for buzzing by.
