Happy memories of Venice

Craft packages ordered =1, craft packages received =0

Today has been a fun one, going to the shopping centre to help Mr Beez choose new shoes only to find that the entire world and his wife and decided to go at the same time. We couldn’t get near a parking space and decided that even if we did find one it would be so rammed inside it probably wasn’t worth it. So instead we came home for a cup of tea and a slice of cake – a much better idea!

Yesterday, on Mr Beez’s birthday, I said I would be back today to show you the card I made for him. Here you go:

Once again I’ve used a different layout for this card and once again I have also used some paper and an image from The Gecko Galz. The blue paper is “Among the Clouds” from the Butterfly Meadow paper collection.I’ve also used some black cardstock, silver glitter card and pale blue card to create mats and layers.

The image is from the Bellissima digital stamp set. I think I mentioned that last year, to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, Mr Beez and I were lucky enough to spend a few days in Venice. If you’ve never been then certainly put it on your list of things to do.

The layers with the main image on are layered using 3D foam and I ran a strip of ribbon underneath. The finishing touches were a white button and some black faux pearls.

I was very pleased with how this turned out and Mr Beez loved it. The hardest thing was keeping it hidden!

So tomorrow we must return to Meadowhall – EARLY (bleugh!) so that we are assured of a parking space. I love shopping but I am really not looking forward to the prospect. However, at least I have an emergency piece of cake to look forward to when we finally return home!
