Happy Easter

A very Happy Easter to you all. Just a quick post today as obviously there is some serious chocolate eating to be done! Appropriately I have two final Easter cards to share, both of which were made using papers and images from The Gecko Galz.

First is this adorable bunny who, to me, looks like he might be made of chocolate! Add to that the glittered sweetheart blossoms, which remind me of crystallised violets, and the whole thing seems very edible!

I’ve used some vibrant yellow ribbon to complete the look.

The papers are from the Solarium Paper pack and the image from Hip Hop Easter.

Next up is the card I made for Mr Beez.

Guess who this romantic couple are meant to be?!

I’ve used layers of paper from the Solarium paper pack, inked the edges and topped it all off with the cute image from Hip Hop Easter. Digitally, working in Microsoft Word, I layered the image on to some more of the paper and added in a shadow before printing off.

I used brown gingham ribbon, from Really Reasonable Ribbon, some twine and a button to complete the look.

I hope you have a lovely day and thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Both of these Easter cards are gorgeous! I love how you layered up the papers for them, I can see we have the same taste in papers too, you have all my favorites here! The glittering is perfect and the card for your DH with the masculine bow is perfect too! Enjoy eating all your chocolate treats, Happy Easter to you! ~Diane

    • Thank you Diane. I think the paper packs just keep getting better and better. Each time I think I’ve found my favourite, Leanne sends another that out does it!!

  2. Two more adorable Easter cards – I am amazed at all the bunny images you have managed to find, it is like your personal Easter hunt.

You may possibly have chocolate on my mind but, actually, I think I can see where you are coming from – the first bunny looks a lot like the shape of that very expensive chocolate bunny who wears a little red collar and bell. I have to completely agree about the violets!

Enjoy what is left of the long weekend.

    • Thank you. I think the collage sheet was largely bunnies and they were all very cute. So funny that the other day I found, lying on the pavement, just the bell and collar from one of those bunnies. Naturally I picked it up and put it in my crafting stash!!! Hope you’re not working too hard down there. xx

  3. Love the blues and yellows in the banner card, and the one you made for Mr. Beez is absolutely adorable! There are those 3-D forget-me-nots again!
Hope your Easter was lovely πŸ™‚

    • Thank you Roberta. I had some forget-me-nots on my Easter table and thought of you!! (Funnily enough they were mixed with a yellow flower from a bush that had grown through from our neighbour!). I had a great Easter (ate too much!) hope you did too.:)

  4. While the first card was absolutely breath taking with the embellishments you do so well, I love card you made for your hubs, so sweet and loving. Hope your Easter was wonderful.

    • Thank you – he liked it too. I had a lovely Easter and can hardly move from having eaten too much! Hope you had a good one too.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
