Easter freebies

This month it was my turn to produce some samples using the Gecko Galz April free products. As usual there is a vintage image, a digital image and a paper. I was so excited when I received them and once again it was hard to stop myself from making more and more projects. Today I thought I’d share a couple of these with you:

Both these use the fabulous vintage rabbit image and a beautiful yellow paper that has a honeycomb pattern – just perfect for me. I love how the rabbit is juggling those eggs.

For the card, I glittered the eggs with some Stickles and then layered up the image using brown and deep pink cardstock plus the fabulous paper.

The sentiment is a Darkroom Door stamp and the finishing touch is some beautiful satin ribbon, with a touch of sparkle,  from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The little treat pot is one of my wooden canapé cups that I’ve covered with the free paper and then added some white crochet lace.

I made a little nest inside the pot using some shredded paper and then tucked the image down the back. The image has been completely covered with glitter.

In addition to the little chocolate eggs, which are compulsory, I added a couple of little daffodils.

Now, be sure to buzz over to the Gecko Galz and pick up your freebies – you can also get a sneaky peek of  what else I did with them. I’d love to see how you use them too.

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. I can see why you have been so excited about these images and paper. The juggling bunny is so cute and I love his onesie. The honeycomb paper is so versatile and I can imagine it coming in very handy.

I love the little pot of chocolate eggs – they never seem to last long enough to get into a bowl in our house!

  3. These are so spring-y and inviting; just looking at them makes me feel happy. It’s rather gloomy here today, so thanks for the glimpse of spring sunshine. It’s always a treat to see your work 🙂

  4. I just came from Gecko Galz, and I absolutely LOVE that butterfly tag!!! Gorgeous!! And I like your treatment of the stamp; that image would take forever to hand color! Great idea of yours to handle it that way.
Aren’t those GG ladies so generous to provide with such cool freebies each month?! What a lovely group of women they must be. And congrats on being the featured designer!

    • Thank you again – I hope you got your freebies and enjoy using them. I’m posting the butterfly tag on here on Friday but have another project to go with it!! You’re right about the digi stamp – I know some people would be able to colour it in but I don’t have the patience 🙂

  5. Every time I see what you’ve made I am speechless, you are so talented. It’s such a pleasure to be able to see what you do with that talent. I’m so glad I found your blog. The freebies are outstanding, love the glitter and how you used the stickles on the eggs, mesmerizing. The paper looks so cute on the little bucket.
Is it springy in England yet? Taking awhile in US this year, so many people still getting cold weather and snow. We had low 40’s yesterday and sleet, today cool still and cloudy but warm enuf to get load of laundry dried outside. Hope things are warming up for you. Happy spring Lisette, you have a pretty name also.

    • Thank you for your lovely comments and I hope you bagged the freebies. Over here we had a spring burst but it has retreated. Right now we are having a rare attack of smog! I still think there’s a chance of snow. Happy weekend 🙂

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
