Clocking on

Craft packages ordered = 1, craft packages received = 2

I am currently without a watch. This is not too inconvenient as it seems I am surrounded by digital clocks, plus I am permanently attached to my laptop for most of the time and then there is always a mobile phone. The only time I feel adrift is at the main city post office, a place where time stands still. I’m sure they don’t have a clock so that you won’t notice just hhe how long you’ve been waiting. The queue is always huge but, to be fair, the counter staff do their best to whittle it down as rapidly as possible.

Time is the theme of  today’s post as  I am sharing a card that I have made for the new Papercraft Star challenge – a clock or watch.

Time (see what I did?!) to dig out what remains of those fab Ladies’ Diary papers from Graphic 45.  I’ve layered the papers up for the background and also cut out a rose and tucked that behind the clockface together with a swirl of pearls. There’s a strip of ivory crochet lace running across the centre.

I also cut one of the clock’s out, trimmed it with some mini pom-pom and then mounted it on 3D foam.

Then I spent ages playing with paper roses trying to get the right look and arrangement, tucking in some extra bits of lace and some coils of rose stem.

The finishing touch was to add some larger pearls.

P1030723I’d forgotten just how fantastic these papers are and I love that rose, mainly for the reason that it was so easy to cut out!
