Christmas Holidays

Craft packages ordered =0, craft packages received =0

Today I am super, super giddy as it as my last working day this year and will be on annual leave until January 8th! In celebration, I am sharing two Christmas cards that I have made using papers and images from The Gecko Galz.

I love this retro image from the Christmas Whimsies collage set as it reminds me of the cards we used to receive when I was little. P1050851The Santa bingo card and sentiment ticket are  from the Altered Christmas collage set. I’ve layered up some papers from the Here Comes  Santa Claus paper set together with some black card.

Baker’s twine, mini pompoms and some die cut snowflakes, very kindly provided by my friend Dionne, complete the look.

The paper is from the Here Comes Santa Claus set as before.

P1050861I’ve added some punched fronds, berries and some gorgeous Christmas red seam binding.P1050862

 Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Look who has been a busy girl. Love, these, they are so vintage but they make me feel old (but not as old as the David Bowie concert we are watching on TV – a caption said that Life on Mars was released 42 years ago!

Enjoy your long break from work.

    • Oh my goodness – I can’t believe it was that long ago. Mind you I was talking about Slade’s Merry Christmas and saying that was THE song of my school Christmas disco when it first came out which was 40 years ago. Where did the time go????xxx

  2. You can’t be old enough to remember those vintage images. I’m 73 and believe me I really remember them. Maybe that’s why I enjoy them so much. Ah memories.
Your cards are adorable, love them so much, you always add such incredibly great embellishments along with your images. Love your blog.

    • Thank you 🙂 I don’t know it’s just me but although cards are very pretty these days I don’t think they have the same character of the ones from days gone by, but maybe that’s just nostalgia!!

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
