The ladies over at the City Crafter Challenge blog have come up with an interesting idea this week – you have to give a previous creation a make over. I enjoyed looking back through all my blog ‘photos (gosh they soon build up don’t they?) to see which item I wanted to have a second go up. In the end I settled on this card which I originally created for a Sunday Stampers challenge:
It’s not that I don’t like it, I just thought it would be a good one to restyle. As I’m so enjoying creating Halloween themed projects and the countdown to 31st October nears its end, I thought it would be a complete contrast to put a Halloween spin on the above.
I recently got some cute little wooden ghosts from Crafty-Emblies and started by giving these a coat of white paint. For the background I used some papers from the Graphic 45 Happy Haunting collection and some yellow card. I mounted the ghosts on black card squares and decided to arrange these in a more random fashion than on the original card. I also added a little punched star to each black square.
I used purple ribbon and a bow along the bottom of the card plus the Happy Halloween from Artchix. The finishing touches were some purple gems in the centre of the star and a silver glittery gem in the centre of the bow.
