As I am beavering away making my December samples for the Gecko Galz I realised there was a card that I made for October that I haven’t shared here yet!

This uses an image from the Vintage Portraits collage sheet and paper from the Mayflower Paper pack. The Vintage Portraits sheet is a super one to have in your collection as it has a variety of images and each one has a frame that you can choose to use or lose depending on your preference! What’s more, it’s only $1 for an instant download.

I’ve used some neutral cardstock to create mats and layers and then used ivory crochet lace and some organza rose trimΒ to frame the image. There’s a little strip of cream lace across the bottom.

Wouldn’t you like to know the story of this young lady? I wonder what she would think if she knew she was appearing on a card decades later?

Thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Your sepia toned design is the perfect way to display this lovely photograph and the antique style lace is a wonderful touch.

She is certainly very intriguing and would like to think that she had a long and happy life.

  2. Oh, I think she would be pretty proud of it with all that fine roses and the soft fragile lace, her beautiful frame carved oval in the middle, what else can she be? Only the most satisfied and thankful for being featured! Amazing card, loved the background papers as well. πŸ™‚

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
