Bright sunshiny day

I can’t believe that it is time for a new challenge over at Crafty Boots. Neither can I quite believe that I am about to start the last week of my summer work assignment – it really has flown past in a matter of moments. That’s not to say it hasn’t been hard work, because it has, and this forthcoming week has thrown up some additional challenges, including having to work on Bank Holiday Monday, which mean I can’t get demob happy just yet!

Our new Crafty Boots challenge has the theme of “You are my Sunshine,” and we are asking you to use sunny colours in your projects. A major downside of the work I do during the summer is that I miss the lovely weather when we get it – and let’s be honest, this year has not been a bad one as far as British summers go. So my card is a celebration of a sunny summer:

P1120421

I’ve used distress inks for the background – Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey, plus a selection of stamps from my stash.

P1120423

The sunshine stamp you will recognise as being from Rubber Moon. (The stamp seems to be missing from the website at the moment but if you email Kae Pea I’m sure she’ll be happy to help!)

We’re looking forward to seeing all your projects for this challenge and hope you have time to enjoy the sunshine too 🙂

Have a good week and thanks for buzzing by.

  1. Great card, it really does feel like you have captured the intense heat of the last few weeks. Boy has it been hot!

Fab sun stamp, it looks perfect sitting in the centre of that inferno.

It must be awful working today, somehow working on a Bank Holiday seems worse than working on a normal weekend. I hope this week flies by.

    • Thanks Dionne – and I’m so glad to hear that you think the same as me when it comes to working on Bank Holidays – it sucks!!! xx

  2. I love this card Lisette … I love how much that BG pops against the white of your card… Beautiful! Sorry you missed the sunshine but true to form it’s always either too hot or too cool…

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
