Birthday wishes

Today has mostly been spent developing some recipes for work. My main recipe was a Mexican style bean soup and had to be cooked in the microwave. Making up a recipe isn’t too difficult, it’s writing it that is the tricky part. I’m not very good at making precise notes as I go, I usually start off well but then get caught up in tweaking and revising so then I have to redo bits to make sure I got the quantities and cooking times correct. Plus there are strict rules about the style you have to use so I have to double check I’ve used all the correct terms and abbrevations. Anyway, the soup turned out quite well, is very easy to make and doesn’t use too many ingredients and I even made some tortilla chips to go with it.

I can’t share my soup recipe with you yet so instead here’s today’s project – a birthday card which I am linking up with Papercraft Star for their challenge which is to use a stamp:

I’ve chosen to use a set of Gorjuss stamps – this is the Sowing Seeds set. I stamped the main image in Vintage Photo and then coloured her in with Promarkers.

Then I stamped out the moon and star images and mounted these separatetly. I twirled some gold wire at stuck underneath the stars.

I’ve applied a strip of ribbon across the bottom of the card and attached a matching bow in the top corner.

To finish I stamped out a sentiment and added some touches of gold glitter to make the stars shimmer and shine.

This truly is a gorgous set of stamps don’t you think?

If you’d like to sample some of the previous recipes that my organisation has produced, then hop over to Let’s Get Cooking and take a look.

I really appreciate it when people take time to leave a comment, thank you so much for doing so :)
