I don’t know what it’s been like for you but this week seems to have been a jolly long one and I’m quite glad to get to the end of it quite frankly. To kick start the weekend I’m buzzing by to share a card that I have made for this week’s challenge over at City Crafter Challenge Blog. The theme is “negativity” – using the negative space that you have once you have used a die and removed the die cut itself.
I’ve used circle and star dies to create my little moon card. I cut out my mats and layers in blue and cream and then die cut circles from two of them, one slightly larger than the next so that the apertures would create a little tunnel once they were layered over each other. Next, I used a star die to cut out stars from what would be the top layer.
I then stamped through the smaller circle aperture on to a third piece of card that forms the base layer. I used the New Moon stamp from Rubber Moon and paper pieced the main part of the image.
Each of the blue pieces of card has been edged with gold leaf pen. I used heat embossing for the gold stamped sentiment and added some further detail to the top layer using a gold pen. I used foam pads to raise each layer.
Thanks for buzzing by.
